Anonymous asked: Ever thought of getting braces?
Of course! Growing up, my family rarely had the money for ‘em, and when we did, it was always kind of considered an excess luxury.
My teeth are easily the thing I’m most insecure about. I know I they’re crooked and I know I have a very noticeable overbite. I try and make up for it by brushing and flossing with an absurd passion and consistency (and then I usually drink 2 cups of coffee before I shoot anything, because I am smart and considerate and I’m sure photogs love photoshopping coffee stains offa my teeth), and by directing your eyes to my boobs as much as possible.
If we’re gonna talk about the idea of working on one’s self - most every has some kind of priority list, even if they’re not doing it or can’t do it. Mine is
1) Get fit (I run in the summers and take walks. Year round, I do elliptical workouts and then interval circuits of resistance training, focusing on my core as often as possible).
2) Get more tattoos (I’m getting my arm finished today! After a year! And getting my thighs done too, more than likely! After that comes my calves and chest piece). Everyone knows tattoos make girls hotter. Ask Radeo Suicide.
3) Get braces/Veneers (Seriously, they’re really expensive - and as hard as it is to get modeling/adult work with crooked teeth, it’s harder with braces).
Here’s the problem, tho: I like my crooked teeth. I mean, not to the extent they are now, thus the thinking about braces/veneers, but I worry that getting them fixed entirely will make me somehow less interesting (and I’m not very interesting as it is). It just feels like a necessary part of me.
Sometimes I wonder about how possible it is to have an orthodontist fix them up to a point, or at least leave my front gap with a little bit of an overbite. What do you guys think?
